|synopsis=The PC's deal with the aftermath of the bar fight and decide its best to relocate to a less scrupulous tavern.
|summary=
Poison Egon shakes off his drunken slumber and arrives at the The Snapping Line shortly after his compatriots have retaken their seats inside the bar. He puzzles briefly over the blue goo on the porch floor and seeing his friends orders a drink. The retelling of the battle is interrupted by the gruff and commanding voice of Constable Halvor telling everyone to "stand fast". He is shocked to see a peaceful bar with no apparent signs of the murderous fight that was reported.

After interrogating the party about their business in town the party successfully convinces Halvor they intended no harm and any furniture or physical damage was purely accidental. They offer to buy him and his men a drink at which Halvor asks for Abes finest whiskey at 18sp a drink. Realizing the nature of the bribe to overlook the incident they put their best faces on as Durmen grabs gives a stink eye as he pays out nearly 10GP (from Raynoffs purse as hes passed out on the floor) to Abe. The drinks go down smooth and within moments Halvor and his men along with Nail and Ricfire fall unconscious from the exceedingly strong brew. The party gathers their compatriots from the floor as Durmen rifles through the guards belongings to recover their coins on the way out of the bar.

After a quick touch from Balmaris healing of staff Nail, Raynoff, and Ricfire are back on their feet. Nail and Balmaris head to the boat to rest and re-memorize spells while Raynoff stands guard over them. Aldran, Durmen, Poison Egon, and Ricfire head towards the [[Empty Net Tavern]] to find Hivtserk. They quickly find this establishment more to their liking as its patrons are clearly a mix of common sailors, thieves, pirates, and dock workers. Settling in at the table the owner, and attractive young woman named Anya approaches inquiring if they would buy her a drink. The prices for such a low brow establishment are clearly higher than it warrant's (1GP a drink) but the eye candy and excellent food wins them over.

Hearing the sounds of revelry going late into the night Balmaris and Nail head over to Empty Net Tavern to check on their companions. As they cross the bridge Nail is briefly overcome with a sense of deep foreboding. Taking a moment to gather his bearings he leans over the rail notices large ripples moving under the bridge heading up river. Unable to ascertain what it is he and Balmaris continue their walk to Empty Net Tavern.

Now thoroughly into their cups and quite enjoying the female company Anya regales the group with some local rumors, the reportedly haunted alchemist manor just north of town catches their attention. Recalling what Abe said about the mysterious lights seen there on moonless nights and reports of a solitary figure that may be their contact they decide to give it a quick look before turning in. The youngest of the ladies who goes by Liza takes a fancy to Aldrans bulging chest muscles and appears to hang on his every word.

Locked arm in arm with three ladies of the night they pass the bridge where Nail gets nauseous again but continue onto the other side. Just across the bridge they meet up with Durmen and make their way singing and laughing towards the alchemist manor about a mile outside town.
