{{Session | campaign = Echos of Lhynn | session_date = 20 February 2026 | game_date = Mid-day / Afternoon | synopsis = Session 146: Jurassic Distraction. A scouting mission on the main level turned into a desperate scramble when a massive pack of Vegepygmy Warriors swarmed the party. Forced into a fighting retreat toward the Reactor Room, the group barely survived a series of near-fatal disasters. With Aldran and Durmen narrowly escaping death and the party’s resources almost entirely spent, they managed to barricade themselves in Room 13, though Nail and Balmaris were lost in the chaos. Continued from [[Session 145 Bad Kitties of the Barrier Peaks]] | summary = === The Main Level Ambush === The plan to explore the main floor was quickly derailed by a massive Vegepygmy ambush. The hallway became a gauntlet of spores and spears, forcing the party into a frantic retreat. Arcane Delay: Durmen acted as the tactical anchor for the getaway. Beyond his well-placed Ice Knives, his standout move was conjuring a Silent Image of a massive, plant-eating dinosaur. The illusion of the beast "munching" through the hallway successfully spooked the mold-kin, buying the party the seconds they needed to push south. [[File:Jurrasic Distraction.jpg|thumb|Jurrasic Distraction]] The Spore Line: Egon held the center with his Symbiotic Entity active. Using his Halo of Spores and his quarterstaff, he punished anything that got too close while burning through his remaining magic to keep the party's health from hitting zero. The Attrition: The escape was anything but cheap. By the time they reached the southern corridor, the party had burned through nearly all their high-level spells just to stay mobile. === The Critical Disaster === The retreat nearly ended in a total party wipe just outside Room 13. Aldran’s Collapse: At the worst possible moment, Aldran suffered a massive self-injury during the melee. The blow knocked him Unconscious, leaving the frontline wide open. Durmen’s Close Call: With the muscle down, the plant-kin overran the Wizard. Durmen was stabbed and poisoned into unconsciousness, coming within a hair’s breadth of death after failing two death saves before Egon could stabilize him. The "Meat Sack" Rescue: Upon waking up in a Rage, Aldran grabbed the limp Durmen—mockingly calling him his "meat sack"—and hauled him toward the door while shouting defiance at the pursuing pack. The Door Slam: Egon provided the final defense, slamming the heavy door shut with enough force to slice a pursuing Vegepygmy in half. === Barricaded and Divided === The survivors are now nursing their wounds inside the Reactor Room (Room 13). The reprieve is fragile: Durmen used a final burst of magic to take out the last pygmy that squeezed through the door. The door itself is currently wedged shut with Durmen’s dagger, sacrificed to keep the rest of the pack out. The mood in the room is grim. While they are safe for the moment, Nail and Balmaris are missing, and the party is in no condition for a rescue mission. | treasure = None (Survival was the only reward). | key_npcs = Vegepygmy Warriors, Jurassic Illusion. | tasks = Recover health in the Reactor Room. Formulate a rescue plan for Nail and Balmaris. | rumors = The plant-kin may be using the other party members as "fertilizer" or prisoners. }} ==== ⚠️ SESSION 147 STATUS CARRYOVER ==== {| class="wikitable" !
