{{Session | campaign = Echos of Lhynn | session_date = 10 April 2026 | game_date = Morning | synopsis = Emerging from their secure rest, the party navigated the botanical anomalies of the lower level. After befriending a displaced Shambling Mound named George, the group faced a massive floral guardian blocking their path. Through a devastating combination of blade barriers and elemental magic, the party cleared the "Green Room" and sighted a bizarre cherry-blossom grove to the west. Continued from [[Session 147 The Tossing of the Salad]] | summary = === The Hydration Protocol === The session began as the party encountered a Shambling Mound in the corridors. Rather than a hostile engagement, the encounter turned social. The Shambling Gardener: Using ''Speak with Plants'', Egon communicated with the creature, who identified himself as "Borgee", or "Jo'rge", or "Hordge". His strange rustling of leaves was hard to understand and not wanting to be rude Egon simply called him "George". George says he is originally from the 3rd-level garden and expressed a simple, desperate goal: he wants to go home to it with and water his plants. The Gift of Water: After the party provided a fresh water source, George became a tentative ally. He revealed that the botanical life on this level thrives on an "Artificial Source of Light" and that the way forward to his home level is barred by a mechanism requiring an Emerald Green Door Key. [[File:The Verdant Sentinel.png|thumb|The Verdant Sentinel]] === The Titanic Tri-Flower Tangle === As the party moved to escort George around the perimeter of the garden, they were ambushed by a Titanic Tri-Flower Frond—a massive, multi-headed vine predator. The Entanglement: George the Shambling Mound attempted to charge into the fray but was quickly snared by the creature’s lashers. Nail, Durmen, and Balmaris took significant initial damage as the Frond lashed out at multiple targets simultaneously. Blade and Flame: Nail led the counter-offensive with a Divine Smite, while Balmaris manifested a ''Blade Barrier''. The shimmering wall of force shredded the monster's stalks for 39 points of damage. Aldran followed up, using his axe to hack through the remaining thickets of the creature. === The Final Wilt === The Frond’s regenerative properties were quickly countered by the party's arcane heavy hitters. The Lightning Strike: Durmen unleashed a ''Fireball'' into the dense foliage, followed by a precision ''Lightning Bolt''. The electrical surge proved too much for the creature's internal biology, causing the Titanic Frond to successfully wilt and collapse. The Shillelagh Stance: Egon maintained the flank with ''Shillelagh'' active, ensuring no smaller vine-spawn which whipped around visiously could reach the casters during the main assault. === The Blossom Grove === With the Tri-Flower Frond defeated, the party pushed further into the western sector of the facility. A Visual Shift: The sterile, industrial-overgrowth aesthetic of the previous rooms gave way to a striking new visual. To the west, the party spotted a massive tree with an appearance identical to a Japanese Cherry Blossom, its petals drifting through the stagnant station air. It swayed in an unsettling motion as though listening to music. There swaying paused briefly as though it took notice of the party looking upon it before resuming its undulations... | treasure = Emerald Green Door Key (Location Known), Botanical Samples. | key_npcs = George (Shambling Mound). | tasks = Locate the Emerald Green Door Key. Escort George back to the 3rd Level. Investigate the Cherry Blossom anomaly. | rumors = The presence of the Cherry Blossom suggests a specific "theme" or biome simulation within this sector of the station. }} ==== ⚠️ SESSION 149 STATUS CARRYOVER ==== {| class="wikitable" ! Character !! Condition/Effect !! Duration/Notes |- | '''George''' || Hydrated || Currently following the party; seeks his home garden. |- | '''Nail''' || Wounded || Took moderate damage from the Tri-Flower Frond; needs minor healing. |- | '''Durmen''' || Potent || Successfully used high-level slots; retains his Fireball transcription. |- | '''Balmaris''' || Focused || Blade Barrier was the MVP of the encounter; 39 damage dealt. |- | '''Egon''' || Plant-Speaker || Has established a rapport with George; leads the botanical negotiations. |}
