=== Philosophical Dawning and Pungent Aromas ===

While investigating the metallic corridors of the main floor, the party was swarmed by **Vegepygmy Warriors**. The fight was characterized by narrow escapes and high-level magic used in desperation.
The party stirred from their rest within the metallic confines of the facility. While '''Durmen''' prepared the group with ''Darkvision'', '''Aldran''' spent the morning in deep contemplation regarding his umbilical connection to his ancestors. Notably, '''Egon''' cast ''Protection from Poison'' on the party, still wary of the previous night's toxins.

* '''Arcane Mastery:''' '''Durmen''' was the tactical MVP of the retreat. He unleashed multiple high-level ''Ice Knives'' (up to 4th level) and a critical ''Fire Bolt'' that dealt 24 damage. To buy the party breathing room, he manifested a '''Silent Image''' of a gargantuan, plant-eating dinosaur. The illusion successfully terrified the vegepygmies, stalling their advance as the "beast" began "munching" through the hallway.
* '''The Scent:''' The clinical, metallic air of the craft shifted to a thick stench of predator urine, described by the party as a "dolphin orgy."
* '''The Spore Guardian:''' '''Egon''' activated his ''Symbiotic Entity'', using his ''Halo of Spores'' to punish any creature that drew near. He held the line with a quarterstaff, at one point using a 2nd-level ''Healing Word'' to keep the party standing.
* '''The High Cost:''' The defense was expensive; the party burned through multiple high-level spell slots just to keep the horde at bay while moving south toward safety.

A total of '''five Displacer Beasts''' emerged from the shadows of the bulkheads to hunt the party. The ensuing battle was a comedy of errors and high-stakes magic.

The retreat turned into a near-wipe as the party reached the vicinity of '''Room 13'''.
* '''The Opening Salvo:''' '''Durmen''' used ''Ice Knife'' and ''Burning Hands'' to reveal the beasts, though the party struggled with the creatures' displacement illusions against the shifting lights of the corridor.
* '''Brutal Injuries:''' The beasts proved lethal; one landed a jagged strike on '''Balmaris''', mangling his arm and leaving him fighting through immense pain. Simultaneously, '''Nail''' suffered a catastrophic fumble, falling prone and entering a state of shock that left him stunned and weaponless while the monsters circled.
* '''The Kill Count:'''
** '''Aldran''' was the primary executioner, using his Rage and ''Savage Attacker'' prowess to take down two of the beasts.
** '''Durmen''' secured two kills: one with a ''Spiritual Hammer'' and the final beast with a massive 5th-level ''Magic Missile''.
** '''Balmaris''' accounted for the fifth, vaporizing it with a high-level ''Inflict Wounds''.
* '''Retribution:''' '''Aldran’s''' ''Wild Magic'' lashed out with force whenever he was struck, and he eventually summoned an exploding '''Flumph''' that pinned the predators. The tide turned when one beast fumbled its own attack, incapacitating itself.

* '''Aldran’s Fumble:''' At a pivotal moment, '''Aldran''' suffered a catastrophic critical failure (Roll: 116 on the fumble table). He struck himself for '''15 damage''' and was rendered '''Unconscious''' for the remainder of the engagement.
=== The Elevator and the Moon ===
* '''Durmen’s Last Stand:''' The plant-kin eventually overwhelmed the Wizard. '''Durmen''' took a brutal series of spear strikes and poison damage, falling unconscious and failing '''two death saves''' before being stabilized by Egon.
* '''"He's My Meat Sack!":''' Upon regaining consciousness, a Raging '''Aldran''' grabbed Durmen’s "meat sack" and hauled him toward the safety of the room while shouting defiance at the mold-kin.
* '''The Door Slam:''' As they breached the room, '''Egon''' slammed the heavy door shut with such force it sliced a pursuing Vegepygmy clean in half.

* The door was wedged shut using a '''sacrificial dagger''' (Durmen's) jammed into the frame.

This Session[edit source]

Philosophical Dawning and Pungent Aromas

The party stirred from their rest within the metallic confines of the facility. While Durmen prepared the group with Darkvision, Aldran spent the morning in deep contemplation regarding his umbilical connection to his ancestors. Notably, Egon cast Protection from Poison on the party, still wary of the previous night's toxins.

  • The Scent: The clinical, metallic air of the craft shifted to a thick stench of predator urine, described by the party as a "dolphin orgy."

The Skirmish: The Displacer Pack

A total of five Displacer Beasts emerged from the shadows of the bulkheads to hunt the party. The ensuing battle was a comedy of errors and high-stakes magic.

  • The Opening Salvo: Durmen used Ice Knife and Burning Hands to reveal the beasts, though the party struggled with the creatures' displacement illusions against the shifting lights of the corridor.
  • Brutal Injuries: The beasts proved lethal; one landed a jagged strike on Balmaris, mangling his arm and leaving him fighting through immense pain. Simultaneously, Nail suffered a catastrophic fumble, falling prone and entering a state of shock that left him stunned and weaponless while the monsters circled.
  • The Kill Count:
    • Aldran was the primary executioner, using his Rage and Savage Attacker prowess to take down two of the beasts.
    • Durmen secured two kills: one with a Spiritual Hammer and the final beast with a massive 5th-level Magic Missile.
    • Balmaris accounted for the fifth, vaporizing it with a high-level Inflict Wounds.
  • Retribution: Aldran’s Wild Magic lashed out with force whenever he was struck, and he eventually summoned an exploding Flumph that pinned the predators. The tide turned when one beast fumbled its own attack, incapacitating itself.

The Elevator and the Moon

The party moved through another empty room, eventually finding an elevator leading deeper into the facility.

Before leaving the scene, Egon opted for a final act of defiance by mooning the fallen predators. With the "Bad Kitties" behind them, the party prepared to enter the lift.
