Session Summary
Synopsis
A desperate retreat through a spore-choked corridor leads to a frantic standoff at a secure room. The party battles a wave of Vegepygmies to save a fallen Robo Dame and an unconscious Nail. After a harrowing struggle to clear a body from the door's sensors, the party secures a short rest, only to hear the sound of something powerful denting the metal doors from the outside.

This Session
The Spore Wave and the Corridor Retreat
The combat erupted into a literal wave of green as Pygmy reinforcements, called by war-horns, rushed the party.
The Spore Cloud: The Vegepygmy Chieftain unleashed a wave of paralyzing spores (DC 15). While Egon utilized his Halo of Spores and Symbiotic Entity to remain a necrotic threat in the center of the cloud, the rest of the party struggled as the hallway became a shower of sparks and spears.
The Fall of the Droid: A police droid was swarmed and pulled down by the pygmies, erupting in sparks and becoming a grim bridge for the advancing horde.
Nail's Grievous Injury: During the chaos, a Vegepygmy Warrior landed a brutal Critical Hit on Nail. The spear strike (a 59 on the crit table) resulted in a "Not that arm!" injury, dealing +8 damage and forcing Disadvantage on all attacks for the remainder of the encounter.
Rearguard Actions: Balmaris stabilized the line with a 2nd-level Protection from Poison, while Aldran used Eldritch Blast and a Silent Image of an Ankylosaurus to induce panic. Durmen assisted with Magic Missile to thin the ranks.
The Airlock Crisis
The transition to the secure room was nearly fatal as the party faced a "Berserk Android" and closing pygmies.
Nail’s Transformation: Fouled in the doorway and suffering from his arm injury, Nail was nearly left behind. Egon cast Gaseous Form, turning Nail into a misty cloud that could be pushed through the airlock threshold.
The Vegepygmy Fumble: Luck turned when a Vegepygmy Warrior suffered a catastrophic Critical Fumble (113 on the table), knocking itself unconscious and clearing its own path for the party's retreat.
The Jammed Door: The mangled body of a Vegepygmy became snagged in the mechanism. As Balmaris attempted to clear the branches, Aldran delivered a final, "Angry Strike" with his +1 Greataxe. His Dirty 20 severed the creature in half, allowing the door to hiss shut with an airlock seal.
Short Rest and The Banging at the Door
The party took a moment to breathe, with Balmaris utilizing Channel Divinity: Preserve Life to restore 35 hit points across the battered survivors.
The North Door: The peace was short-lived. A heavy metallic banging began at the North door.
Fist Dents: As the party prepared—Balmaris taking a high ground on a table and Aldran reinforcing the sliding doors—visible dents began to appear in the metal.
Robo Dame: The Translate spell wore off. After identifying the source of the noise simply as "droid," the Nurse began walking toward the door where the heavy impacts were occurring, leaving the party to wonder if she was meeting an ally or a new executioner.
