Facing six newly arrived Warforged shock-troops, the party opted for diplomacy over immediate combat.
However, one of the main guilds discovered that some of the gemstones and various metals brought back possessed magical properties useful for their own purposes.

Unfortunately, they tried to conceal this from the Emperor, who soon discovered their deception. This treachery validated his predecessor, Videric’s, wisdom in creating the Warforged to ensure loyalty to the Empire and, by extension, the Emperor himself. In a rage, he turned his personal Warforged guard on the mages. Those who refused to submit to eternal servitude as a Warmage (a Warforged spellcaster) were either killed or exiled through the portals they had opened. The [[Book of Vedric]] Book of Gates, which detailed the locations and incantations needed to open the portals, was torn into multiple pieces and scattered across these newly opened gates. As a result, the knowledge of the creators and the creators themselves were lost across the Multiverse.
'''The Disarming and the Overture:''' Aldran identified the leader of the squad and convinced the Warforged that the party meant no harm and had aided in defeating the multi-headed beasts. The constructs instructed Durmen to step forward, announcing that their mistress wished to speak with him, and demanded the party surrender their weapons. After Egon dryly remarked that they couldn't remove their physical arms, Aldran and Nail disarmed themselves. Lexana landed shortly after, addressing the party with dramatic flair—flirting with Durmen, praising Aldran's physique, and inquiring about Egon's druidic background.

'''The History of the Book of Videric:''' Lexana pitched an alliance to rebuild the Phasnosh Empire to its multi-planar glory, warning the party to beware of religious zealots who use imperial restoration as a cover for personal greed. She explained how ancient guilds hid powerful magical gemstones and metals from the Emperor, validating Emperor Videric's decision to create the loyal Warforged. During the subsequent purge, rogue mages were either bound into eternal servitude as Warmages or exiled through portals. The legendary ''Book of Videric'' (Book of Gates)—containing all portal incantations and locations—was torn apart and scattered across dimensions. Leaving Aldran with a communicator to call her once they reached a decision, Lexana boarded her dropship and departed to the south.

Leaxanna gives Aldran a star trek like communicator. They are ready to give her the decision. All they have to do is press it, and she can speak with them from any location. She orders the war forged up onto the dropship and follow them aboard. It takes off to the south.

Durmen pointed out that accepting the offer might provide the perfect position to unmake Lexana from within.

Durmen, we have an opportunity to unmake the villain (Lexana).
'''Eyes on the Party:''' Throughout the evening, several groups of dockworkers and adventurers entered the tavern but turned away due to the party buying out all available rooms. A few patrons closely observed the group, and a Southwinds patrol briefly conferred with Norman before moving on. The party then retired for a long rest.

Narrative

Imperial Lore and the Phasnosh Proposal

Facing six newly arrived Warforged shock-troops, the party opted for diplomacy over immediate combat.

The Disarming and the Overture: Aldran identified the leader of the squad and convinced the Warforged that the party meant no harm and had aided in defeating the multi-headed beasts.

The History of the Book of Videric: Lexana pitched an alliance to rebuild the Phasnosh Empire to its multi-planar glory, warning the party to beware of religious zealots who use imperial restoration as a cover for personal greed. She explained how ancient guilds hid powerful magical gemstones and metals from the Emperor, validating Emperor Videric's decision to create the loyal Warforged. During the subsequent purge, rogue mages were either bound into eternal servitude as Warmages or exiled through portals. The legendary Book of Videric (Book of Gates)—containing all portal incantations and locations—was torn apart and scattered across dimensions. Leaving Aldran with a communicator to call her once they reached a decision, Lexana boarded her dropship and departed to the south.
